It seems the race is on for Arsenal as they look to either beef up their attacking options, or alternatively, look for potential replacements for Robin Van Persie in case he opts to not renew his current contract.

Speculation is rife that Arsene Wenger is eyeing up a number of possible attacking targets and here are the details of three such stories currently circulating.

Kevin Gameiro has been a relative disappointment since his £9m move from Lorient to big spending PSG, netting 11 goals in 30 appearances for the Parc des Princes side. That patchy form seemingly cost him a spot in Laurent Blanc’s Euro 2012 squad and perhaps Carlo Ancelotti is ready to listen to offers for the French international.

Having seen Marouane Chamakh, Nicklas Bendtner, Carlos Vela and Gervinho all fail to make a consistent impact Wenger may be reticent about investing £16m, which would be a record transfer fee for the North London club, on Gameiro and indeed may wish re-negotiate before putting in an offer for the 25 year old.
