Manchester United flop Bebe is set for another loan spell following his disastrous season at Besiktas.
Bebe has struggled and has failed to make an impression on the first team.
He was sent out on loan to Besiktas in the summer of last year but, after damaging knee ligaments on international duty with Portugal, he was ruled out for six months.
Upon returning from injury, he was then banished from first-team duty after breaking a curfew back in April.
United, though, want to give the 21-year-old every chance to succeed and will let him spend another season on loan.
Sir Alex Ferguson has not made many high profile errors during his 25+ year Old Trafford reign but spending £7.4m on striker Bebe is certainly one. The Scot opted to spend big money on the striker despite never having seen him play in person, preferring instead to trust to recommendations and DVD footage before spending a large sum on the youngster.
The defining moment of Bebe’s Man United career to date was his hopeless performance against the then non-league Crawley Town in an FA Cup encounter. He hasn’t played a first team match for the Premier League side since, and it’s very debatable he ever will again.
A loan move may well help to build confidence and perhaps more importantly help Ferguson to get some sort of fee for the forward who will surely be on his way just as soon as someone can be persuaded to pay for his services.
