Shinji Kagawa’s Manchester United transfer agreed
Manchester United have agreed a deal to sign Japan midfielder Shinji Kagawa from German side Borussia Dortmund.
The 23-year-old needs to pass a medical and obtain a UK work permit, but the Old Trafford club expect both to be completed by the end of June.
It is thought the initial fee for Kagawa is around £12m, rising to £17m depending on success and appearances.

So as we move into June it appears that transfer deals, that’s deals as opposed to endless speculation, are being done. Eden Hazard’s move to Chelsea was completed yesterday and now Sir Alex Ferguson has got in on the act and lured highly rated Japanese international Shinji Kagawa to Old Trafford.
Kagawa enjoyed instant success since his move from Cerezo Osaka to Borussia Dortmund, sealing back to back Bundesliga titles in his two seasons at the Westfalenstadion. Over the two seasons the Kobe born Japanese international notched up a very impressive 29 goals and 15 assists.
Sir Alex Ferguson was clearly looking to add more goal-scoring intent to a midfield that has at times looked brittle. The likes of Michael Carrick, Anderson, Darren Fletcher and Paul Scholes offer a great deal but they are not famed for providing goals or assists whereas Kagawa will add more creativity to this area of the Man United starting eleven.
At Borussia Dortmund Kagawa played in an advanced attacking midfield role behind the strikers, one would imagine he would fulfill a similar role at the Old Trafford club.
