Fell swoop?: Chelsea to continue summer spree with move for Everton star
Big-spending Blues want a midfield enforcer as part of their overhaul and it’s understood Fellaini could be available for £20million
The new European champions also want a midfield enforcer and Fellaini tops their list of candidates.
Everton defender Phil Jagielka admitted at the weekend that they would struggle to keep Fellaini, and it is understood the Toffees will sell for around £20m.

It’s clear Roman Abramovich doesn’t need a permanent boss in place in order to conduct transfer business, having already signed Marko Marin and Eden Hazard, the Russian owner and technical director Michael Emanelo are clearly working on bringing in top talents that would presumably make the job of appointing a permanent replacement for Andre Villas-Boas all the more straightforward.
If, as Phil Jagielka states, £20m is enough to force cash strapped Everton to sell then if such a bid is set to be made then surely Belgian international Marouane Fellaini will waste little time in jumping at the chance to join his international team-mates at Stamford Bridge.
There are currently four Belgian international’s at the West London club as Hazard joined Romelu Lukaku, Thibaut Courtois and Kevin de Bruyne at Chelsea and Fellaini would also be more than ready to make the ‘step-up’ to a side who can challenge for major honours.
Fellaini has become something of a cult hero at Goodison Park and over the past four seasons has developed into a pivotal player in David Moyes’s side but the financial constraints placed on the Merseyside club are such that they may well be forced into selling a player or two this summer.
