In-form striker Emirates Stadium bound.
Arsenal have reportedly agreed a deal to sign Montpellier and France striker Olivier Giroud.
The 25-year-old is with the France squad at Euro 2012 after playing a central role in Montpellier’s domestic title success last season.
A £12million move has been on the cards for weeks, with several clubs interested including Borussia Monchengladbach.
Giroud had asked for all transfer talk to be put on the back-burner during France’s bid to win the European Championship.
However SkySports has claimed that sources close to the money at Arsenal have told them that the deal has now been done – though an official announcement might wait until after the European Championship.

For weeks speculation has been rife that Arsene Wenger was set to land in-form French international Olivier Giroud and it appears that a deal to sign the Montpellier man is now pretty much done and dusted.
The 25 year old finished last term as the top scorer in Ligue 1 helping his side to a maiden domestic title in the process and earning a place in Laurent Blanc’s Euro 2012 squad. The powerfully built forward is something of a late bloomer having spent much of his career in the lower leagues with Tours and Grenoble prior to his move to Montpellier two seasons ago.
Some sources had stated that Marouane Chamakh would be used in a part exchange deal but that hasn’t proven the case, which is perhaps bad news for Gunners fans given just how poorly the Moroccan international has performed over the past 18 months.
Giroud joins Lukas Podolski at the Emirates Stadium, with the German international earning his 100th national team cap last night, netting to mark the occasion.
One wonders where this all leaves Robin Van Persie and the answer to that riddle may be a little nearer to being resolved given that the Dutchman has suffered an early exit from the Euro 2012 finals.
