Allardyce keen on big striker.
West Ham are trying to wrangle an elaborate deal to sign young Real Madrid striker Joselu, according to The Daily Mirror.
The east Londoners are keen on cut-price deal that includes a ‘buy-back’ clause – meaning the Spanish champions can bring Joselu back to Madrid in the next two summers if he impresses in the Premier League.
The 22-year-old scored 26 goals for Real’s B team last season and boss Jose Mourinho is now considering letting the youngster leave the Bernabeu on loan. Madrid will also consider offers of around £7 million for the 6 foot 3 inch striker but will insist any deals include a buy-back option.
The Spain Under-21 international, who has caught the eye of Arsene Wenger last season and the Arsenal boss is also monitoring the situation.
But Allardyce is determined to steal a march on his London rivals and is willing to offer a reduced buy-back price of just £1.5 million for next summer and £2 million for 2013.
The Spanish giants have rejected the deal but will encourage West Ham to increase their bid for Joselu.
