Emirates Stadum side move nearer to midfielder signing.
France star Yann M’Vila has admitted his interest in a move to Arsenal.
The Rennes midfielder has been heavily linked with the Gunners, as Arsene Wenger attempts to do his business early this summer.
And the 21-year-old – currently on international duty at Euro 2012 – has fuelled talk he is set for a switch to the Emirates by expressing his admiration for the north London club.
“I have heard Arsenal are interested in me,” M’Vila said. “I like Arsenal and I like the Premier League.
“I don’t know what is happening with the clubs, but yes, I would be interested in the Premier League and Arsenal.”
Yann M’Vila has been linked with a move to Arsenal for quite some time now and last month it looked as though a deal was being discussed at the highest levels before demands by the player and his club Rennes put the deal firmly on the back-burner.
Now that the French international has once again made it abundantly clear he wants to leave and move to the Premier League, and Arsenal specifically, one wonders if this deal may well see the light of day sometime soon.
Arsene Wenger needs more steel in a midfield that currently only has Alex Song to fulfill such a role, with Emmanuel Frimpong still being too raw and inexperienced to play a leading role for the Gunners side, and a move for the 21 year old could gather pace once the Euro 2012 finals are out of the way.
