Former Huddersfield boss set to take St Andrews’ post.
Birmingham City are close to confiming the appointment of Lee Clark as their new manager, BBC WM reports.
Clark, 39, is believed to have agreed to take the post after talks with the Championship club.
The former Newcastle player will replace Chris Hughton, who resigned earlier this month to take charge of Norwich.

Lee Clark deserves a route back into football having been very harshly treated by Huddersfield last term. The former Newcastle United, Fulham and Sunderland midfielder was axed by the Terriers in February despite the fact they were riding high near the top end of League One and the 39 year old had taken the Yorkshire side to back to back play-off finishes the previous two campaigns.
The young boss could well be a very wise appointment by the St Andrews’ club who were somewhat left in the lurch when Chris Hughton opted to take over at Norwich City earlier in the month.
Should make matches between Birmingham City and Huddersfield interesting occasions this coming season.
