Samir Nasri Apologizes for Abusing French Journalist, Well Sort Of, Actually Not Really

French international uses Twitter to set the record straight in relation to his expletive ridden tirade towards a French journalist following his national team’s defeat to Spain.

For those of you who are not fluent in French, here is what the Man City man stated.

“The supporters and in particular children should know that I regret that my language may have shocked them,”
“I love the France team, football and I have a profound respect for the fans.”
“It’s a personal matter between some journalists and me. I will explain further when the time comes.”

So in other words it’s not a real apology at all. Well not an apology to the journalist in question at least. One wonders what Samir Nasri is alluding to when he says ‘it’s peronal matter’ and whether he will indeed ever explain further. Indeed by stating that he will ‘explain further’ he is clearly looking to distance himself and allay blame to an as yet undetermined time.
