Sky Blues consider bid for PSG mercenary.
Manchester City are monitoring PSG midfielder Javier Pastore, it has emerged.
The Argentinian was a target for Chelsea last summer but chose to join the mega-rich Parisiennes for a fee of around £32 million.
The 23-year-old impressed in his debut season in Ligue 1, bagging 13 league goals from an advanced midfield role as Carlo Ancelloti’s side disappointly missed out on the title.
But in December, after just 15 games for the French side, Pastore admitted he would find it hard to turn down a move to a bigger club and, although it is understood the Argentine is content at PSG, he would jump at the chance to join the English Champions.
Manchester City boss Roberto Mancini is a huge admirer of Pastore and is interested in bringing the former Palermo man to the Etihad Stadium if PSG agree to sell.
City missed out on top attacking target Ezequiel Lavezzi, ironically to PSG, but could now make a big money bid for Pastore in the next week.
