White Hart Lane midfielder linked with Craven Cottage switch.
David Bentley has been given a career lifeline by Martin Jol at Fulham after the Dutchman approached Tottenham about signing the crocked midfielder.
Former England international Bentley suffered a serious knee injury early last season while on loan at West Ham.

David Bentley could well do with being thrown a lifeline and the short move from North to West London will probably appeal to the former Arsenal and Blackburn Rovers man.
Ever since his £15m move to White Hart Lane the attacking midfielder has struggled to make an impact and has been sent out on loan to West Ham and Birmingham City in recent seasons. Indeed the 27 year old’s last Tottenham appearance came in November 2010.
Fulham boss Martin Jol may well be looking to add some more creativity to his midfield and will have his work cut out keeping Clint Dempsey at the club this summer and opted to not offer veteran Danny Murphy a new deal leading to the midfielder moving to Blackburn Rovers.
Bentley has made just 32 Premier League starts since his move to Tottenham just under four years ago.
