Mega-rich Parisiens eye Terry.
Paris Saint-Germain are eyeing a dramatic £10 million deal for Chelsea skipper John Terry.
The oil-rich French club believe the lure of working with Carlo Ancelotti and the chance for a fresh start may convince the 31-year-old to move across the channel, according to Le Parisien.
Leonardo, director of football at PSG, told the French daily, “He [Terry] is very close to Ancelotti, but that is all.”
Ancelotti would not be the only familiar face, however, with former Chelsea enforcer Claude Makelele currently assistant manager at PSG and his ex-defensive partner Alex also at the Ligue 1 giants.
PSG are one of the world’s richest clubs after being taken over by a Quatari consortium two years ago. They have already brought in expensive imports Maxwell, Javier Pastore and Ezequiel Lavezzi but were thwarted in their attempts to sign AC Milan centre-half Thiago Silva.
Chelsea would be reluctant to let Terry go and vehemently blocked a move from Manchester City for their skipper in 2009.
But after finally winning the Champions League and with a high-profile court case looming, Terry may fancy the propsect of a fresh start and a major pay-day in Paris.
