Cottagers chase quarterback.
Fulham are chasing Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Tom Huddlestone, according to the Daily Mail.
The beastly midfielder played under Fulham boss Martin Jol when the Dutchman was in charge at White Hart Lane and Jol wants to be reunited with the player who was described as a ‘quarterback’ by Harry Redknapp.
Huddlestone, 25, played just four times for Spurs last term after suffering a serious ankle injury early in the season.
Spurs appointed Andre Villas-Boas as head coach today and have already been linked with a number of midfield playmakers, including Joao Moutinho, Oscar and Joe Allen.
And it remains to be seen whether the Portuguese sees the former Derby County pass-master as part of his long-term plans, particularly with Fulham ready to offer £4 million for Huddlestone, who has just one year remaining on his contract at Spurs.
