Brendan Rodgers to fight off interest in Anfield talents.
Juventus have held a long-standing interest in Suarez, who has been in discussion with Liverpool over extending his current contract.
However, Suarez – like defender Martin Skrtel, who is wanted by Manchester City and Russian side Anzi Makhachakla and Daniel Agger – is yet to sign a new deal.

If the bid to sign Coloccini falls through, Mancini will turn his attention to either Liverpool’s Daniel Agger, or Chelsea’s David Luiz.

Whilst there may well be a few players new Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers would consider offers for it’s unlikely that the trio above would be on such a list. The Anfield boss will spend the next few weeks sizing up his playing staff whilst thinking of how to improve a squad that finished last term in eighth place.
Juventus has been linked with interest in Uruguayan international Luis Suarez for quite some time and that’s no big surprise because boss Antonio Conte’s side, though Serie A champions, did not have a prolific marksman to call upon, hence the Turin side’s apparent interest in a number of Premier League goal-scorers, including Robin Van Persie and Carlos Tevez.
25 year old Suarez is Liverpool’s most effective attacking weapon and surely no offer would be considered for his services.
Though the Merseyside club struggled for form last term they were fairly resolute defensively, albeit prone to the occasional schoolboy error, and therefore interest in defenders Martin Skrtel and Daniel Agger is also no surprise but the Slovakian especially will surely not be a player Rodgers looks to cash in on.
Danish international Agger is perhaps a little injury prone but is still a valuable member of the Liverpool first team picture though perhaps the 27 year old would be tempted by a move to Premier League title holders Man City.
