Claret and blue target to stay with Canaries.
West Ham and Aston Villa target Grant Holt has signed a new contract at Norwich, the Norfolk club have confirmed.
The 31-year-old has been linked with a move away from Carrow Road this summer and handed in a transfer request last month, citing the club’s refusal to offer him a long-term contract as the reason for his unhappiness.
But Holt has been won over by new Canaries boss Chris Hughton and has now put pen to paper on a three-year deal at Carrow Road.
West Ham had a £4 million bid for Holt rejected a fortnight ago and were preparing an improved £6 million offer for the target man, who finished as the second highest English scorer in the Premier League with 15 goals last term.
Elsewhere, new Villa boss Paul Lambert, who managed Holt at Norwich, was also monitoring the situation.
West Ham have already turned their attentions to Chelsea youngster Romelu Lukaku.
