Norwich City Hope to Land Newcastle United Striker Nile Ranger

Carrow Road side chase St James’ Park youngster.

Norwich boss Hughton hoping to be reunited with Ranger at Carrow Road

Norwich manager Chris Hughton is interested in Newcastle striker Nile Ranger, 21.
Hughton knows Ranger from his time as Magpies boss and is a keen admirer of the player who spent the end of last season on loan at Sheffield Wednesday.

Norwich are in the market for a striker after Aaron Wilbraham joined Crystal Palace on a free transfer.

Given that Chris Hughton spent time at St James’ Park it’s perhaps no surprise that the new Canaries boss would be linked with interest in a Newcastle United player or two. However does the Norwich City manager need further attacking options?

Now that Grant Holt has committed to the Carrow Road side by signing a new contract perhaps a new striker signing is not all that crucial. Remember the East Anglia side also has other effective attacking options including Simeon Jackson and Steve Morison as well as youngster James Vaughan.

Nile Ranger has struggled to break into the Newcastle United first team on a regular basis and has had various off field problems so perhaps a move away from the club would be best for his long term career progression.
