Catalan boss linked with Russian move.
Pep Guardiola is expected to arrive in Moscow on Friday amid claims that he has signed a preliminary agreement to become Russia’s next manager.
Fabio Capello has already expressed his interest in replacing Dick Advocaat, and sources at the Russian FA’s executive committee meeting on Wednesday claimed a contract had already been signed with a new coach.
Spartak Moscow owner and oil tycoon Leonid Fedun has already confirmed he is willing to help fund Guardiola’s salary.

Since he announced his decision to leave Barcelona at the end of last term there will be few jobs that the 41 year old hasn’t been linked with. The hugely successful manager was strongly linked with the Chelsea post, even the Liverpool post, before both were filled.
He was also linked with a number of jobs across Europe as well as in Middle-East but now he’s been strongly linked with the Russian national team. Dick Advocaat has left the post to return to PSV, some 14 years after he left the Eredivisie club, after a rather average Euro 2012 display.
No doubt Guardiola can command a fairly huge salary as Russia coach and other big names have been linked with the post including Fabio Capello among others.
