Manchester City Linked With Shock Move for Manchester United Winger Nani

Etihad Stadium side keen on Old Trafford attacker.

MANCHESTER CITY are monitoring Nani’s situation at neighbours United in a shock development.

The Portugal winger, 25, has so far failed to agree a new contract at Old Trafford, placing his future under Sir Alex Ferguson in doubt.

And that has alerted City, who are in the market for a winger with England wideman Adam Johnson, 24, expected to leave.

By all accounts Nani’s contract talks have stalled in relation to his demands and clearly Man City, like another side said to be targeting the Portuguese international, PSG, can pay obscene amounts that may well tempt the 25 year old wide-man but there is zero chance that the Man United man would move to his side’s local rivals.

Just last week the former Sporting Lisbon man stated he was happy at Old Trafford and would surely not consider for one moment moving to the Etihad Stadium.

Roberto Mancini may well be keen on refreshing his wide attacking options with the likes of James Milner and Adam Johnson considered dispensable. David Silva and Samir Nasri don’t seem likely to leave the club anytime soon so in theory there would be room for Nani but this source may well be just speculating on an issue without there being any substance to the story.

Though Sir Alex Ferguson has Ashley Young and rejuvenated Ecuadorian Luis Antonio Valencia to play on the flanks, Nani has become a pivotal member of Man United’s attack and would surely not be a player the Scot would look to sell.
