QPR Close to Agreeing Deal to Sign Wolves Winger Matt Jarvis

Molineux wide-man on his way to Loftus Road.

QPR are close to agreeing a deal to sign Wolves winger Matt Jarvis, according to The People.

Jarvis, 26, is keen to return to the Premier League and has apparently been spotted house-hunting in the west London area.

Fulham are said to also be keen on the England international, but it is claimed they are not prepared to meet Wolves’ asking price.

With Robert Green, Samba Diakate and Park-Ji Sung already ‘in the bag’ it appears that Mark Hughes is about to snap up another quality signing as he looks set to beat local rivals Fulham in the race to sign talented Wolves and England winger Matt Jarvis.

26 year old Jarvis was perhaps one of only two players who impressed at Molineux during last season’s poor showing, the other being striker Steven Fletcher, and the former Gillingham man certainly deserves a chance to make an instant return to the top tier.

Fulham may wish to re-enter the race for the speedy winger but may find it hard to out-do a QPR side who are assembling a squad that should help keep the Super Hoops clear of the drop zone next term.

Jarvis netted eight goals last term and has made a total of 172 appearances for Wolves since his move to the club back in the summer of 2007.
