Bolton Owed Chelsea Player Loan, Trotters Request Oriol Romeu

Reebok Stadium side look to bring in another influential temporary signing to the club.

Bolton Wanderers are reportedly chasing Chelsea ace Oriol Romeu.

Bolton News claims Wanderers boss Owen Coyle is eyeing a loan deal for the Spaniard.

It is understood that Coyle is owed a player on loan from Stamford Bridge as part of the deal which took Gary Cahill to Stamford Bridge in January.

If Bolton have indeed penned a player loan deal into the deal that saw Gary Cahill move to Stamford Bridge then clearly they were very wise but if they have not then Owen Coyle may well find out that bringing in a top level player on a temporary deal may prove much harder now that the Trotters are in the Championship.

A number of players have benefited from spells at the Reebok Stadium, most recently and notably Arsenal pair Jack Wilshere & Ryo Miyaichi as well as Chelsea forward Daniel Sturridge.

Roberto Di Matteo may well be open to allowing former Barcelona midfielder Romeu to pursue a loan move as the 20 year old went off the boil at Stamford Bridge after a relatively impressive start.
