Tottenham’s Danny Rose Could Be Set For QPR Loan

Youngster heading to Loftus Road.

Tottenham Hotspur are considering sending young full-back Danny Rose on loan to QPR.

The Hoops are interested in Rose, 22, who is an England under-21 international and will feature for Great Britain at this summer’s Olympics.

Spurs are unwilling to sell Rose, who arrived at the club as a midfielder but was converted to a left-back by former boss Harry Redknapp, but would consider allowing him to leave on a season-long loan deal.

The former Leeds youngster said this week that the Spurs squad is fully behind new boss Andre Villas-Boas but he remains unsure of his own future.

Rose has been made available after Spurs completed a deal for Ajax skipper Jan Vertonghen yesterday. The powerful centre-half often provides cover at left full-back for Belgium.

Villas-Boas is also interested in Porto’s wingback Alvaro Pereira, who he tried to sign when he was Chelsea boss.

QPR are in the market for a left-back after failing to extend the loan of AC Milan’s Taye Taiwo.
