Liverpool Linked With Turkish Star Burak Yilmaz As Andy Carroll Replacement

Turk to replace England forward.

Liverpool have identified Trabzonspor striker Burak Yilmaz as a replacement for the outbound Andy Carroll.

Yilmaz is hot property after smashing in 55 league goals in 75 appearances for the Turkish club since 2010.

The 26-year-old is also a target for Fulham and former Croatia coach Slaven Bilic who is the new boss of Lokomotiv Moscow.

But Liverpool have now emerged as serious contenders for his signature after agreeing to allow £35 million misfit Carroll to leave Anfield.

The former Newcastle front man is likely to leave on loan to West Ham or permanently if the Reds can recoup at least £20 million for the England forward.

Newly installed Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers has publicly stated his intention to consider a loan move for the misfiring forward and therefore the Northern Irishman is clearly looking to bring in further attacking back-up, not least because the Merseyside club have a fairly threadbare attack at present.

Yilmaz is thought to be open to a move to the Premier League but with competition for his signature fierce, the Turkish club will demand at least £10 million for the 6’2″ target man, who has six international goals for Turkey.
