Arsenal Attacker Andrei Arshavin Wanted By Qatari Side Al-Sadd

Emirates Stadium winger linked with move to Qatar.

Zenit St Petersburg boss Luciano Spalletti could make a move for Arsenal’s Andrey Arshavin.

The Italian is also an admirer of Manchester United winger Nani and Chelsea target Hulk as he revealed Zenit were hoping to sign ‘top-level’ players.

Qatari side Al-Sadd are also keen on 31-year-old Arshavin.

What does the future hold for Russia international Andrei Arshavin? A return to Arsenal is a possibility but Arsene Wenger may be ready to offload the winger this summer. A move to Zenit has been muddied by the general perception towards the player from the Russian public following statements made by the 31 year old following his nations Euro 2012 exit, so a move to Qatar may appeal to the crafty wide-man.

Arshavin returned to something near his best during his loan return to Zenit St Petersburg as he helped to clinch a Russia Premier League title last term and the pint sized flair player also played fairly well at Euro 2012.

Perhaps a move to Al Sadd would interest Arshavin, the chance to be a big fish in a small pond whilst making an obscene amount of money. However agreeing to such a move would be tantamount to stating that his top level club career was over.

Clearly Al Sadd have some pulling power having snapped up Spanish legend Raul this summer and the Doha based side would presumably be able to meet any asking price Arsenal put on the attacker’s head.
