Stamford Bridge wide-man wanted by Bundesliga side.
The agent of Chelsea winger Kevin de Bruyne has confirmed speculations linking the talented player with a summer move to Werder Bremen.
With the competition for places in attack still fierce at Stamford Bridge, the Belgian international could again be farmed out on loan to gain some first team experience.
Bundesliga side Werder Bremen are hoping to take advantage of the situation and the player’s representative confirm the Weserstadion outfit are showing interest in his client.
“It’s true. Werder are interested at the moment,” agent Patrick de Koster explained to Bild.
So would Roberto Di Matteo really be interested in listening to offers for Kevin de Bruyne? Perhaps the Belgian youngster doesn’t figure in the Italian’s Blues plans and in which case an offer could be accepted.
The 21 year old signed for a fee of around £7m back in January but was then loaned straight back to Genk for the remainder of the campaign. Since then Marko Marin has been brought in and could well further lessen the youngster’s chances of making an impact at Stamford Bridge.
Over the course of the last three seasons De Bruyne has racked up 38 goals and provided 36 assists, clinching a domestic title in the process and he first appeared on the Chelsea radar when Racing Genk came up against the West London side in the Champions League.
