West Ham Close In On Attacking Trio As Sam Allardyce Admits Interest In Liverpool Striker Andy Carroll

Hammers close in on trio.

West Ham are closing in on a trio of signings including Liverpool’s £35 million striker Andy Carroll.

Hammers boss Sam Allardyce admitted today that he is interested in signing the former Newcastle forward on loan and Carroll, 23, is understood to be resigned to leaving Anfield this summer.

The towering front man has also been linked with Fulham and AC Milan but West Ham are the only club to have made their interest concrete so far with a year-long deal now looking likely.

Carroll could be joined at Upton Park by London-born midfielder Colin Kazim-Richards, reports Sky Sports News.

The 25-year-old grew up in Leytonstone, minutes from the Boleyn Ground but is half Turkish and is currently playing for Galatasaray.

Kazim-Richards is currently on trial with West Ham but the right winger is expected to complete his return to England before the end of the week.

West Ham are also nearing a deal for Sochaux striker Modibo Maiga, according to the Daily Mail.

The 24-year-old almost joined Newcastle in January but the deal collapsed amid concerns about a knee problem.
