Galactico Nuri Sahin linked with Emirates Stadium move.
Arsenal have been linked with Real Madrid’s Nuri Sahin in a shocking twist that will leave Spurs fans with a bitter taste in their mouth.
Turkish-Football.com believe the North London club are targeting the 23 year old German born midfield maestro.
This time last month White Hart Lane had apparently told the Spanish club they will need to pay £25million and part with Sahin if they are serious about signing Modric, however the Real Madrid player claimed “It is one of the best clubs in the world and for this reason I do not see why I should go. I have no intention of leaving.”
Now it looks like the Gunners boss may fulfill one of his top priorities of reinforcing his midfield over the summer months and with the Galactico’s style of creative passing play, he would be well suited at the Emirates.
The midfield playmaker went on to win the Dutch cup with Feyenoord, lifted the UEFA European U-17 Championships with the Turkish national team, and won the Bundesliga with Dortmund last year. This has not gone unnoticed by Wenger who once labelled him as “one of the greatest U-18 talents in world football,” back in 2005.
Sahin has struggled to make an impact at the Bernabeu and the chances of Jose Mourinho agreeing to sell the talented attacking midfielder will increase if the La Liga giants do finally land long term target Luka Modric.
Though Arsenal have a number of creative midfield talents Arsene Wenger may feel that Sahin is a player of sufficient quality to battle the likes of Mikel Arteta, Tomas Rosicky, Aaron Ramey and Jack Wilshere for a first team spot.
