70% chance of deal, says agent.
Manchester City striker Edin Dzeko has a 70 per cent chance of joining AC Milan this summer, according to his agent.
The Rossoneri have been linked with the Bosnian as a potential replacement for outgoing star Zlatan Ibrahimovic, who is joining PSG.
Dzeko scored 14 times in City’s historic title-winning season – including four in one game against Tottenham – but struggled to hold down a regular place in the Champions’ line-up.
City boss Roberto Mancini has admitted that he needs to sell one of his big-name strikers before he can bring in another forward and, with the club chasing Robin van Persie and Edison Cavani, Dzeko’s exit looks increasingly likely.
Dzeko’s representative, Sead Susic, has now admitted that the striker, who joined City for £28 million from Wolfsburg last summer, could be headed for the Serie A.
“The arrival of Dzeko at Milan is more than possible,” Susic told Italian news website Calciomercato.com.
“We have had contacts and they continue, let’s see what will happen in the next few days. He likes the Italian championship and Milan very much – it would be a wonderful experience.
“It is now apparent that Milan will need to replace a striker like Ibrahimovic. Chances? I will just say that it [Dzeko going to Milan] is 70 per cent possible.”
