London duo keen on Uruguayan.
Portuguese giants Porto are yet to receive an offer from Chelsea or Tottenham for coveted full-back Alvaro Pereira.
The Uruguayan returned to training with Porto today despite on-going speculation linking him with a move to London.
Both Spurs and Chelsea are interested in the left-sider who can play in midfield or defence. Chelsea had a £20 million bid for Pereira rejected last summer when Andre Villas-Boas was in charge at Stamford Bridge.
The young tactician has now moved to White Hart Lane but the Blues reportedly still retain an interest in the 26-year-old, particularly with Florent Malouda set to leave the club.
Villas-Boas is ready to challenge his old club for the star’s signature and is also chasing Porto’s playmaker Joao Moutinho.
However, Pereira’s agent has confirmed that neither club has made contract with Porto so far.
“His contract is with Porto and he will stay there unless there is a proposal that is acceptable to the club,” he said. “So far there is nothing at all,” said Alejandro Savich, according to talkSPORT.
