Former Blackburn Rovers attacker to make Loftus Road.
Junior Hoilett ‘agrees QPR move’Sky Sports understands that Junior Hoilett has agreed to join Queens Park Rangers after opting against penning a new deal at Blackburn Rovers.
Rovers spent much of last season attempting to tie the highly-rated forward down on fresh terms.
Relegation out of the Premier League was always likely to undermine those efforts, and Hoilett has opted to move on.
The 22-year-old was reported to be on his way to Germany at one stage, with Borussia Monchengladbach believed to be leading the chase for his signature.
Hoilett has, however, taken the decision to remain in English football.
He is believed to have agreed terms with QPR and is all set to become the latest new recruit at Loftus Road.

QPR have done it again. Having already signed Robert Green, Ryan Nelsen, Andy Johnson and Ji-Sung Park now Mark Hughes has won the race to sign free agent Junior Hoilett. The Canadian international has turned down offers of a new contract from relegated Blackburn Rovers and since that point he has been inundated with offers and has seemingly opted to move to Loftus Road.
Hoilett made 92 appearances for Blackburn Rovers over the course of three solid seasons at Ewood Park but clearly felt that a move down to the English second tier was not something he was interested in partaking in.
It’s quite a feat for QPR to beat Borussia Monchengladbach to this signing given that the Bundesliga side had Champions League to offer the 22 year old having finished fourth last term.
