Sven-Goran Eriksson Interested In Becoming Nottingham Forest Manager

Journeyman manager eyes Forest role.

Ex-England coach Sven Goran Eriksson is interested in the vacant manager’s job at Nottingham Forest, according to the BBC.

The Swede has been out of work since October when he was dismissed by fellow Championship side Leicester City.

Nottingham Forest’s new owners, the Al-Hasawi family, are seeking a high profile new manager after sacking Steve Cotterill last week.

Another former England boss, Glenn Hoddle, remains the favourite for the post, while Gordon Strachan, formerly of Celtic, has also been linked with the role.

Darren Ferguson, son of Sir Alex, and Harry Redknapp have both ruled themselves out of the running for the post.

Eriksson is believed to be keen to speak to Forest’s owners and is desperate to stay in club management in England.

Since being sacked as England boss, Eriksson has had jobs with Manchester City, Mexico, Notts County and the Ivory Coast and the 64-year-old rarely distances himself from vacant Premier League positions.
