White Hart Lane side keen on Malaga playmaker.
Spanish source AS believe new White Hart Lane boss Andre Villas-Boas is keen to continue his summer transfer spending with a move for Malaga star Santi Cazorla.
By all accounts Malaga’s Qatari owners are looking to cut costs even though the La Liga side have secured their maiden Champions League berth for the coming campaign and there will be no shortage of interest in the 27 year old Spanish international.
The former Villarreal man was one of many big names that Malaga brought in last summer but now it appears that the La Liga side may be willing to accept offers for the pint sized performer who can play on the wing or as an advanced attacking midfielder.
Villas-Boas has already seen Gylfi Sigurdsson and Jan Vertonghen arrive this summer and having seen Gareth Bale commit to the North London club there is growing speculation that Luka Modric will be on his way out, the Tottenham boss confirming as much on many occasions.
Though Cazorla may not be a like for like replacement for the Tottenham schemer he could play in a similar central role and add creativity to the Spurs midfield.
Cazorla has racked up 45 national team caps and is a top quality experienced player who could well jump at the chance of a move to the Premier League this summer and he could well prove to be an ideal replacement for the outgoing Croatian.
