Emirates Stadium boss discusses summer transfer plans.
Despite Wenger’s denials, the Gunners will continue their pursuit of Santi Cazorla and Nuri Sahin and the manager expects Nicklas Bendtner, Sebastian Squillaci and Ju Young Park to leave the club, which would create space within the 25-man squad for new signings.
‘Bendtner, Squillaci and Park will be on their way to go somewhere,’ said Wenger on Sunday. ‘Arshavin, it depends. We have to sit together and talks. He could still have a future at the club.’

Arsene Wenger was clearly looking to see the quartet he has named as none of those mentioned were part of the Arsenal party that traveled to Asia for their pre-season tour, now all he has to hope for is that buyers will be ready to make sufficient offers for the four players the Gunners boss can clearly do without.
Andrei Arshavin is perhaps the one player who could play himself back into contention but a lot depends on whether the Russian has his heart set on a permanent move back to his home country, having spent half of last term helping his Zenit St Petersburg side to a domestic title success.
Nicklas Bendtner spent last term on loan at Sunderland and had a relatively successful Euro 2012 finals with the Danish national team so one would imagine there are a few interested parties keen on the big striker.
Sebastien Squillaci’s spell at the North London club has been fairly horrendous. The French veteran was brought in to steady the ship at the back, to add experience a know how but the former Sevilla man has looked off the pace and woefully out of his depth when called upon.
Park Chu-Young clearly does not have the backing of Arsenal boss Wenger, who only handed the South Korean one Premier League sub appearance last term.
This source outlines Arsenal’s continued pursuit of a pair of attack minded La Liga midfielders. Moves for Malaga’s Santi Cazorla appear to be continuing whilst Wenger would apparently also like to bring in Real Madrid man Nuri Sahin, though that move seems more likely to be a loan spell, perhaps to cover for Jack Wilshere, who will be sidelined until at least October and perhaps beyond.
