Craven Cottage boss wants experienced Emirates Stadium and Stamford Bridge talents.

FULHAM want Arsenal’s Andrey Arshavin, 31, in a cut-price £1m deal and are also keen on Chelsea’s Yossi Benayoun.

Fulham boss Martin Jol may well feel the need to boost creativity in his Craven Cottage squad, especially if the Dutchman fails to retain the services of American Clint Dempsey this summer.

Moves to sign either Yossi Benayoun or Andrei Arshavin may not be long term options but they will be cost effective purchases who would add extra quality to the Cottagers midfield.

Arsenal winger Andrei Arshavin did not join his team-mates on the club’s Asian tour and his Gunners career hangs in the balance but amongst all the talk of a possible move back to Russia it is plausible that the 31 year old would prefer to remain in London given that his wife is pregnant with their third child.

If Fulham could sign the former Zenit St Petersburg man for just £1m then that’s a deal not to be missed out on.

Yossi Benayoun has returned to Chelsea following a fairly successful season long loan spell at Arsenal and though the Israeli has taken part in the Blues North American tour this summer it’s still fair to say that the 32 year old will struggle to secure first team football at the Stamford Bridge side.

Roberto Di Matteo has a host of options in the central and wide midfield roles that the former Liverpool and West Ham man is proficient in and a short move from one West London side to another is sure to interest the adaptable attacker.
