Man United Set to Make Formal Offer for £20m Rated Spanish Sensation Isco

Old Trafford boss looks to make the most of Malaga fire-sale.

Manchester United are chasing the signature of rising Spanish star Isco.

The 20-year-old winger is the jewel in the crown at Malaga but the club’s financial situation means they will listen to offers.

Spain Under-21 star Isco is considered one of the brightest talents in his homeland and, after scouting him, United have made discreet enquiries about his availability.

United will now wait to hear whether or not the youngster is open to a move and what it would take to land him.

A formal approach could even follow this week.

Isco cost Malaga around £4million when he joined from La Liga rivals Valencia a year ago.

His contract still has another four years to run and includes a buyout clause of around £20m.

Isco was part of the Spain squad which was expected to challenge for the Olympic title but crashed out in the group stage.

So the apparent Malaga clear-out continues. Things have begun to unravel at the La Liga side as the La Rosaleda side looks set for a change of ownership after the club’s Qatari owners registered huge losses as they helped the club to their first ever Champions League berth.

Forward Salomon Rondon has left for Rubin Kazan and Santi Cazorla is reportedly Arsenal bound whilst Newcastle United run the rule over Jeremy Toulalan. Now it appears, to this source at least, that Sir Alex Ferguson wants to get in on the act by registering his interest in Spanish youngster Isco.

Sir Alex Ferguson has made a habit of scouring Europe, and beyond, to pick up the best young talent over spending much larger sums on the finished article. The Scot has seen the likes of Phil Jones, Javier Hernandez, David de Gea and Chris Smalling make instant impacts at Old Trafford and may feel he could do likewise with Isco.

The 20 year old Spaniard performed well in his debut season at Malaga last term and the goal-scoring midfielder is on the fringes of a full senior international cap and perhaps the uncertainty at the club, coupled with the financial predicament they find themselves in, could lead to Man United managing to pick up the player for a bargain price.
