Loftus Road boss looks to land unwanted Emirates Stadium star.
QPR are interested in signing Andrey Arshavin from Arsenal, Russian media have reported.
Fulham have also been linked with the 31-year-old, who is out of favour at the Emirates Stadium and has been widely tipped to move this summer.
It is claimed that Rangers are looking to take Arshavin to Loftus Road, possibly on loan.
Zenit St Petersburg, who sold him to the Gunners in 2009, are keen to re-sign him but he is believed to want to join a London club.

Mark Hughes has worked wonders during the current transfer window but a successful procurement of Arsenal winger Andrei Arshavin would trump all those he has already snapped up this summer.
The Russian international appears to set for an Emirates Stadium exit having been left out of Arsene Wenger’s Asian tour squad and a move to West London could well tempt the 31 year old. There is apparent interest from his former club Zenit St Petersburg, who he joined on a temporary basis last term, but the chance to remain in the Premier League may be preferable to the wide-man.
QPR have already brought in Robert Green, Samba Diakate, Ryan Nelsen, Junior Hoilett, Andy Johnson and Park-Ji Sung as Hughes enjoys the continued financial support of co-owner Tony Fernandes.
Arshavin cost Arsenal a club record £15m three and a half years ago and would cost a fraction of that fee now having consistently failed to deliver for the North London club.
