West Ham to Send Midfielder Ravel Morrison to Birmingham City In Loan Move

Upton Park youngster set for St Andrews’ move.

West Ham midfielder Ravel Morrison is set to join Birmingham on loan.

Blues boss Lee Clark has snapped up the controversial 19-year-old in a bid to boost his Championship promotion campaign, according to the Birmingham Mail.

The former Manchester United youngster joined the Hammers in January for a fee that could rise to £1million but has a chequered off-the-field history.

Sir Alex Ferguson was so dismayed by Ravel Morrison’s wage demands last term that he speedily accepted West Ham’s offer for the teenager and it appears that any hopes the youngster had of making an impact in the top tier have been vanquished by a possible loan move back to the Championship.

Morrison has played just nine minutes of senior football for the Hammers and it seems Sam Allardyce does not see the midfielder as part of his plans for the coming season.

The former Man United man was fined £7k for homophobic remarks the teenager made via his Twitter account.
