Barcelona Insist They Haven’t Agreed Deal With Brazilian Star Neymar

Vilanova dismisses Neymar link.

Barcelona coach Tito Vilanova has insisted the La Liga giants have not agreed a deal to sign Brazilian Olympic sensation Neymar.

The 20-year-old is regarded as one of the most exciting young talents in the game and has been described as Brazil’s answer to Barca’s very own Argentine genius Lionel Messi.

Neymar is currently plying his trade with Santos but has been linked with a big-money move to Europe this summer, with Barcelona thought to be leading rivals Real Madrid in the race for his signature.

However, Santos have insisted that Neymar will not be sold before the 2014 World Cup in Brazil and Vilanova has dismissed reports that the Spanish club have already agreed a deal with the attacker.

“I’ve never spoken about signing Neymar,” he said, reports Sky Sports.

Neymar is set to lead the line for Brazil in Friday’s Gold Medal Match against Mexico at Wembley.
