Inter Milan Propose Tottenham Swap Deal as Villas-Boas Chases Julio Cesar

San Siro side look to nab one of three White Hart Lane youngsters in return for keeper.

Inter continue negotiations with Tottenham for Julio Cesar, though could swap the goalkeeper with Giovani Dos Santos, Sandro or Kyle Walker.

It is well known that Spurs and Arsenal are battling to take Julio Cesar after the Brazilian was replaced by ex-Udinese shot-stopper Samir Handanovic.

According to the latest reports from Italy, his agent has received a promise that Tottenham would pay Julio Cesar’s wages for two years.

In exchange, Inter are set to sign one of their players on loan, most likely Giovani Dos Santos.

Other options, such as Sandro and Walker, are more difficult due to their price-tags.

Whilst Tottenham may well need a back-up keeper that Andre Villas-Boas is confident in he isn’t going to consider offering either Sandro or Kyle Walker into the bargain but may well feel that Mexican international Giovani dos Santos is a player he could sacrifice in order to land Brazilian keeper Julio Cesar.

There doesn’t appear to be an urgent need to pay over the odds for a new custodian because though Brad Friedel is 41 years of age he has stayed remarkably free of injuries during his Premier League career. It appears that neither Carlo Cudicini or Heurelho Gomes are options Villas-Boas is ready to consider.

Though Andre Villas-Boas has apparently spoken to Giovani and assured him he does play a part in his first team plans, something Harry Redknapp never appeared to consider, the former Barcelona may feel that a new challenge after what has been a nightmare period in North London, may well be what he needs to get his career back on track.
