DONE DEAL: Colin Kazim-Richards Joins Blackburn Rovers On Loan

Rovers complete signing of Turkish international.Blackburn Rovers have completed the signing of Turkish international Colin Kazim-Richards on a season-long loan deal from Galatasary.

The 25-year-old joins with a view to a permanent transfer next summer, reports the club’s official website, and is Rovers’ eight signing of a busy summer at Ewood Park.

Kazim was on trail at West Ham last month but the east Londoners decided against a deal for the former Brighton and Sheffield United forward.

Blackburn swooped after a cruciate ligament injury ruled out Leon Best for six months and the Lancashire outfit are hopeful of signing another striker before the end of August.

In June 2007, half-Turkish Kazim, who was born in Leytonstone, east London, joined Turkish giants Fenerbahce before moving to their bitter local rivals Galatasaray in January 2011.
Shortly after arriving, the versatile forward famously scored the first derby goal in Galatasaray’s new stadium against his former club. The journeyman ended last season on loan at Greek club Olympiakos.
