Goodison Park boss hopes to boost attack with move for Craven Cottage star.
Everton are considering rivaling Liverpool in the race to sign Clint Dempsey from Fulham.
David Moyes is looking to bolster his squad after selling Jack Rodwell for £12m and Dempsey would be an ideal replacement for Tim Cahill.

This would be a wise move but one wonders if David Moyes will really be allowed to use the £12m raked in from the sale of Jack Rodwell to Man City given the financial predicament the Goodison Park side finds themselves in.
Moyes has had to live within tight budgetary constraints for a number of years and whilst it is would ideal for the Toffees to bring in another attacking option it would take a bid of around the same value as the £12m paid for young England international Rodwell to land the American attacker.
Clint Dempsey has a number of suitors and one wonders also whether the Texan would think a move to Everton would constitute enough of a ‘step-up’. The 29 year old forward is said to be keen on securing European football and may find it hard to meet his ambitions at the Merseyside club.
Dempsey netted 23 goals in all competitions and has just a year to run on his current contract.
