Arsenal Linked With Move to Sign Man United Striker Javier Hernandez as Robin Van Persie Completes £24m Old Trafford Switch

Old Trafford striker Chicharito to make Emirates Stadium switch?

Van United: Fergie finally lands RvP with massive £40million package

Arsenal will get £24m for striker they faced losing for nothing in a year, he’ll get £200k-a-week – and the Gunners may get Chicharito too!

Sir Alex Ferguson has finally got his man, with Robin van Persie poised to join Manchester United in a £24million deal.

Van Persie will sign a four-year contract with United on £200,000-a-week in a package worth almost £40m to the Holland international.

United striker Javier Hernandez, having dropped down the front-line pecking order at United with the arrival of van Persie, could move the other way to Arsenal.

Really? Well this came out of the blue, but could a move to Arsenal for Javier Hernandez be based in any form sort of reality?

Javier Hernandez had something of an average second season at Old Trafford after greatly impressing in his debut season at the Premier League side and clearly the Mexican’s first team chances will have been dealt a blow following the signing, pending medical, of Dutch goal machine Robin Van Persie.

Though Arsenal have seemingly already moved to replace their skipper when they brought in Lukas Podolski and Olivier Giroud earlier this summer a move for reinforcements may well appeal to Arsene Wenger.

Chicharito scored 20 goals in 2010/11 following his protracted move from Club Guadalajara but last season found first team football harder to come by as youngster Danny Welbeck forced his way into the first team set-up.

The speedy 24 year old striker may well feel he has to consider leaving Man United to secure regular first team football but it would nonetheless be a surprise if Sir Alex Ferguson was considering to sell a player he clearly believes has something to offer the club.

This source seems to imply that any move for Hernandez could be part and parcel of Van Persie’s £24m move to Man United but the referencing is fairly vague, perhaps as vague as the possibility that Ferguson would consider selling a first team player to a Premier League rival, something he has previously battled to avoid.
