Playmaker won’t rule out Tottenham move.
Portugal star Joao Moutinho has refused to rule out a move to Premier League outfit Tottenahm.
The Porto midfielder has been linked with a move to England this summer, with both Spurs and Manchester United thought to be tracking the 25-year-old.
Moutinho has been mooted as a potential replacement for Spurs’ outbound schemer Luka Modric, who is set to join Real Madrid in a £30m deal.
The pass-master was a key part of Tottenham coach Andre Villas-Boas’ Porto side, which won the Primiera Liga, Portuguese Supercup and Europa League during a stunning 2010-11 season, and the young tactician is keen for a reunion with his former charge.
Moutinho has admitted that he would love to try his hand in a new league but claimed he is in the dark about any interest from White Hart Lane.
“I will continue to work,” he is quoted as saying by Sporting Life. “If an offer arrives, and it is good for both parties, Porto will, of course, study it.
“I do not know if there is the possibility of joining Tottenham. Every player has the ambition to try new leagues, but I am at Porto and I will continue to work in the same way.”
