Black Cats target Etihad Stadium youngster.
Martin O’Neill wants to partner Saha with Manchester City’s Swedish striker John Guidetti.
O’Neill also wants £6million Guidetti, who was a big hit on loan at Dutch side Feyenoord last term, and has been given the go-ahead by City to open talks.

Having brought in veteran Louis Saha to boost his attacking options Martin O’Neill is being fairly wise by targeting young Swede John Guidetti to further strengthen the Black Cats attack.
The youngster has a cat in hell’s chance of forcing his way into Roberto Mancini’s first team picture and as such Man City may well be willing to offload the 20 year old this summer.
Guidetti netted 20 goals in 23 games during a season long loan spell at Feyenoord and will therefore not be keen on sitting on the bench for the coming campaign and perhaps there is a chance that Sunderland would be allowed to loan the instinctive finisher if indeed Mancini feels that the Swedish international has the potential to make an impact at Man City.
O’Neill could dearly do with another striker or two given the players he currently has to call upon are not the most prolific. The Northern Irishman has the likes of Frazier Campbell, Connor Wickham, Ji Dong-Won and Ryan Noble to pick from and therefore may struggle for goals this term.
