Swansea Eyeing Valencia Winger As A Replacement For Man City Bound Scott Sinclair

Swans to bid £5m for Hernandez.

Swansea City are close to sealing the £5m signing of Valencia winger Pablo Hernandez, to replace want-away forward Scott Sinclair.

New Swans boss Michael Laudrup was understood to have tabled a bid for Hernandez last week and the La Liga outfit have now accepted the offer.

Hernandez is understood to be keen to reunite with Laudrup, who was key to the winger’s development when the pair worked together at Getafe.

The player’s agent, Bayram Tutumlu, revealed: “There is a concrete offer from Michael Laudrup. The coach has spoken with Pablo and has explained his new project and that he could be a key man in the side. Pablo has always wanted to play in the Premier League.”

Hernandez, who has four caps for Spain, was in and out of the Valencia team last season, making 19 La Liga starts and scoring 3 times.

The 27-year-old predominantly plays as a right winger and is likely to directly place Sinclair, who is refusing to sign a new contract at the Liberty Stadium amid interest from Champions Manchester City.

Swansea are also closing in on Celtic midfielder Ki Sung-Yeung.
