West Ham Agree £10.75m Deal to Sign Wolves Winger Matt Jarvis

Molineux wide-man set for Hammer medical.

West Ham have agreed a deal worth a potential £10.75m for Wolverhampton Wanderers winger Matt Jarvis.

The fee was settled between the clubs late on Wednesday night and the 26-year-old England international will now travel to London to discuss personal terms ahead of a proposed medical.

West Ham will pay £7.5m up front with add-ons taking the deal beyond £10m.

It’s fair to say that Wolves have maximized West Ham’s interest in Matt Jarvis to garner a big fee for the talented winger. Sam Allardyce clearly meant business having already failed in two other bids for the former Gillingham man and the 26 year old is the latest in a string of very capable signings the Hammers boss has brought in this summer.

Jarvis has enjoyed three consistent seasons in the Premier League with Wolves and even though his side finished rock bottom last term the England international still looked impressive and it seemed likely he would get an instant return to the top tier.

The Middlesbrough born winger has amassed 172 appearances for Wolves since he joined the club in the summer of 2007.

West Ham have already brought in eight new additions this summer including the captures of keeper Jussi Jaaskelainen, defenders James Collins and George McCartney, midfielders Alou Diarra and Mohamed Diame and forward Modibo Maiga.
