Duo to remain at White Hart Lane.
Tom Huddletsone and Michael Dawson are set to remain with Tottenham after moves to Stoke City and QPR broke down.
Hulking midfielder Huddlestone was set to join the Potters on loan for the season, as revealed by Stoke winger Jermaine Pennant on twitter, but Sky Sports reports that the two clubs have failed to agree a deal.
Ahead of Saturday’s game with West Brom, Spurs boss Andre Villas-Boas stressed that he saw Huddlestone as part of his future plans but wanted to 25-year-old to leave temporarily to build-up his match fitness, after spending much of last season on the sidelines.
Dawson, meanwhile, was on the verge of a £9m move to QPR after the clubs agree a fee for the 28-year-old centre-half but Hoops’ boss Mark Hughes has revealed there has been “an issue with personal terms”, reports the BBC.
Hughes is still hopeful of completing a deal for the former Nottingham Forest man but it is understood Dawson is keen to fight for his place at Spurs, so a deal is looking increasingly unlikely.
