Have you got what it takes to ‘Beat the Editor’

Each weekend the CaughtOffside Editor will look to wow you with his Premier League predictions and you can see if you can outscore him by making your own score-casts.

Saturday 25th August

Swansea City vs West Ham

Michael Laudrup’s side to continue where they left off at Loftus Road.

Swansea 3-1 West Ham

Aston Villa vs Everton

This game has score or bore-draw written all over it.

Aston Villa 1-1 Everton

Man United vs Fulham

Fulham may well have smacked Norwich City 5-0 but Martin Jol’s side travel to Old Trafford to take on a Man United side licking it’s wounds after defeat at Goodison Park.

Man United 4-0 Fulham

Norwich City vs QPR

Two sides who got well and truly spanked last week go head to head at Carrow Road. This one has high-scoring draw written all over it.

Norwich City 2-2 QPR

Southampton vs Wigan Athletic

Southampton deserved something from their display at the Etihad Stadium but returned to the South Coast with nothing. Expect Latics to make it two defeats from two in what may prove to be a bad season for Roberto Martinez’s side.

Southampton 2-0 Wigan Athletic

Sunderland vs Reading

Martin O’Neill will have been happy to return from the Emirates with a goalless draw but knew he needed to beef up his attack and in came Steven Fletcher and Adam Johnson.

Sunderland 2-1 Reading

Tottenham vs West Brom

Andre Villas-Boas were perhaps unlucky to not get anything from their trip to Newcastle United but expect the White Hart Lane side to pick up three points today.

Tottenham 2-0 West Brom

Chelsea vs Newcastle United

Eden Hazard has shown what he is capable of in his first two Blues appearances, expect more of the same. Defence may need tightening up after the Blues narrow win over Reading in midweek.

Chelsea 2-1 Newcastle United

Sunday 26th August

Stoke City vs Arsenal

Arsene Wenger never enjoys trips to the Britannia Stadium but I predict a win for the Gunners against Tony Pulis’s men.

Stoke City 0-2 Arsenal

Liverpool vs Manchester City

Brendan Rodgers was brought down to earth as Liverpool slumped to a 3-0 defeat at West Brom but that result was greatly affected by the sending off of Daniel Agger and I predict the Anfield side could clinch a narrow victory over the Premier League title holders.

Liverpool 2-1 Man City
