Bolton Agree Six-Month Loan Deal For Liverpool’s Jay Spearing

Midfielder set for loan switch to Bolton.Liverpool midfielder Jay Spearing will join Bolton Wanderers on a six-month loan.

The two clubs have come to an agreement which will see the combative midfielder head to the Reebok stadium until January, according to Sky Sports.

New Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers is happy to grant Spearing a temporary move away from Merseyside in order to play first-team football, after securing the loan signing of promising Turkish midfielder Nuri Sahin from Real Madrid.

A host of clubs, including Wolves, were also interested in signing the battler but Bolton boss Owen Coyle, a long-term admirer of Spearing, will be delighted to have him on board for the first-half of the season.

Bolton were relegated from the Premier League last season, and will be desperate to return back to the top-flight next season.

Spearing began his career at Liverpool, and has amassed 55 appearances for the first-team since 2008.
