Spaniard on his way to the Liberty Stadium.
Sky Sports understands Swansea have reached an agreement with Valencia to sign Spanish winger Pablo Hernandez in a €7million (£5.5m) deal.
The 27-year-old, who has long been linked with a move to the Premier League, is set to sign a three-year contract at the Liberty Stadium.
The Swans’ accepted offer is an improvement on their initial bid of €5million (£4m), which was not enough to lure the Spain international away from the Mestalla.
Hernandez has a contract at Valencia until 2014 and coach Maurizio Pellegrino was keen to keep him at the La Liga club.

The imminent arrival of Pablo Hernandez coincides with Scott Sinclair’s move to Man City as Michael Laudrup looks to swap like for like before the transfer window slams shut.
Such a signing represents something of a coup whilst simultaneously displaying the usefulness of having a living legend as the manager of your club.
The Danish boss was of course a huge playing legend and has great experience of La Liga and will be more than aware of the ability Hernandez possesses and perhaps the chance to play under the Liberty Stadium boss is a carrot to help secure a move of this gravitas.
Though Laudrup has seen Joe Allen and Scott Sinclair leave the former Real Mallorca boss has brought in a few clever signings. Snapping up Michu from Rayo Vallecano for just £1.7m could prove the bargain of the summer and the arrivals of Chico and Jonathan de Guzman certainly add quality to the Swans squad.
Hernandez has completed four solid seasons at the Mestalla and is an experienced able campaigner and is well worth the £5.5m outlay.
