Liverpool Misfit Andy Carroll And Arsenal Youngster Alex Oxlade-Chamberlian Named In England Squad

Roy Hodgson names 24-man squad for Moldova and Ukraine games.

Roy Hodgson has included youngsters Jack Butland, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Daniel Sturridge in his 24-man England squad for the opening FIFA World Cup Qualifying matches.

Ex-Three Lions skipper John Terry is fit again and included, as is Sunderland new-boy Adam Johnson and want-away Arsenal winger Theo Walcott.

Micah Richards, Scott Parker and Darren Bent remain out injured, while there is no place for Man City’s new signing Jack Rodwell who is with the under-21 squad.

England travel to Moldova for the first match on 7 September before hosting Ukraine, their Euro 2012 opponents, at Wembley on 11 September.
